Scholarships will be awarded to individual members of Alliance for Wisconsin Youth (AWY) member coalitions.

You can apply for any or all of the following expenses:

Conference registration fee: $185

Awards banquet: $17.50

Up to two nights lodging (room only, tax exempt) for Sunday night, June 29 and Monday night, June 30.

Important: Due to funding cycles, scholarships are restricted to the nights above. The conference is Monday,

June 30 – Wednesday, July 2. If you intend to stay Tuesday night July 1st, this expense is on your own.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be an individual member of an AWY member coalition.

2. The AWY webpage for your local Alliance coalition must be reasonably current in the ‘Activities or

Programming’ section. This requirement must be completed by application deadline of Sunday, May 11.

It is your responsibility to ensure that this requirement is met. Your webpage is located at

www.allwisyouth.org – select ‘Find Our Members’, then select ‘Map of Members’, then click on your county,

then the name of your local Alliance coalition. For more information about how to update your webpage or to

check if it is already updated, visit the AWY website or contact TSgt. Debbie McGough, 800-442-5772 or

Application Instructions

1. This is a competitive application process. Multiple individuals may apply from a single Alliance coalition.

AWY reserves the right to limit multiple scholarships from one Alliance coalition to ensure fair distribution

among a number of Alliance coalitions.

2. Complete your own responses to each question found on the next page. Add pages as necessary. Submit

completed applications via email by midnight Sunday, May 11, to Joan Pritzl, joanp@newahec.org.

If you do not receive confirmation that your application was received within three business after submitting your

application, call Joan at 920-652-0238.

3. You will be notified via email your status of your scholarship application award by the close of business on

Wednesday, May 21, 2008. If you are awarded a scholarship you must register yourself for the conference by

Monday, June 16. Do not send payment — your AWY Regional Center will do that for you.

If your scholarship includes lodging, we will make your reservation for you as awarded (Sunday night, June 29

and/or Monday night, June 30). The Alliance for Wisconsin Youth will pay the hotel directly for these nights.

You are responsible for paying all incidentals charged to your room (meals, phone calls, etc.) before you

leave the hotel.

If you also intend to stay Tuesday night, July 1st instructions for how to extend your reservation using a

different payment method (e.g., your personal credit card, your coalition purchase order, etc.) will be emailed to

you upon notification and confirmation of your scholarship award.
