Vision Statement

LaCrosse County youth of all cultures, races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations will feel welcomed and wanted as members of our local communities.

Mission Statement

The LCYDC will support, enhance, and empower youth and parents in efforts that prevent substance abuse/neglect/violence and promote healthy, engaged lifestyles.

Goal and Objectives

Goal: To support youth in developing proactive, preventative activities that reduce substance abuse and value diversity. Objective 1: Assure that diversity is represented in the Alliance and the Youth Board through at least 25% of it's membership. (As documented by enrollment/membership records.) Objective 2: Host two workshops by March 31, 2007 that focus on prevention and solutions relating to substance abuse for a minimum of 50 youth with at least 25% diversity. (As documented by attendance records.) Outcome: By May 31, 2007 plan, prepare, and submit at least one grant that incorporates youth input/involvement/solutions to issues relating to abuse and violence. (Documented by the grant proposal and submittal date.)
