Vision Statement
Every child, elderly person, and adult with developmental disabilities in Rusk County in need of a mentor and positive activities have that opportunity.Mission Statement
To improve the quality of life for families and children, adults with developmental disabilities, and the elderly by providing adult/family volunteer mentors and activities that promote and support stability, friendship and community.Goal and Objectives
Goal One: Match all clients with a Mentor. Goal Two: Provide 7 Mentor enrichment activities per year. Goal Three: Mentor Appreciation four times per year. Goal Four: Conduct three community service projects per year. Goal Five: Hold three fundraisers per year. Goal Six: Provide school attendance and performance incentives for grades K-12 Kinship youth after each quarter of the school year.Regular Meetings
TeenTalk. The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Ladysmith Youth Center, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Kinship Board Meetings are the second Thursday of the month, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Ladysmith.Funding Sources
70% of the budget is from county fundraisers. 30% of the budget is from contracted services from Health and Human Services.Activities or Programming
