Mission Statement

To support and facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive plans and activities to reduce the use and negative impact of alcohol and other drugs in the community and promote healthy alternatives.

Goal and Objectives

Facilitate and provide technical assistance to schools and communities in planning, developing, and evaluating comprehensive programs (adults/youth) to promote healthy, successful and resilient youth. Establish and strengthen collaboration among schools and communities by creating, maintaining, and participating in county, regional, state, and national partnerships. Facilitate staff development (adults/youth) to enhance school and community expertise in the areas of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, violence, related youth risk behaviors, and positive youth development. Provide opportunities for networking; participate in statewide network events; and serve as a liaison at the regional, state, and national level. Administer educator fellowship and student mini-grant programs.
