Mission Statement

"To bring various sectors of the community together to reduce the use/abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug among youth and over time among adults"

Goal and Objectives

Our goals are the following: 1. To decrease access to alcohol for youth. 2. To build youth skills regarding their decisions and actions regarding drugs and alcohol. 3. To change the perceived community norms about drug and alcohol use of teens. 4. To delay the age of onset. 5. To make policy changes which impact AODA use. 6. To increase the avaliability of treatment. Objectives: To increase the awareness of parents/guardians of legalities of providing alcohol to underaged youth. To increase compliance of establishments with liquor licenses in only selling alcohol to those of legal age. To have parents understand the harmful effects of alcohol use and impact on the teen brain development. To offer first offender the option of participating in restorative justice (sanctions) in a teen court setting. To have youth understand that not everyone is doing tobacco, drugs and alcohol by understanding the "true norms" of Lincoln County communties of Merrill and Tomahawk.

The alliance meets monthly except in July.
