The vision of Rock County Youth2Youth is to create a drug free community thus improving the health of Rock County residents.Mission Statement
Our mission is to harness the powerful influence of positive peer pressure through education and advocacy for people to live free of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.Goal and Objectives
2010 Goals Rock County Youth2Youth 1)By December 31, 2010, four strategies in support of smoke-free air policy implementation will be implemented. 2)By December 31, 2010, four strategies in support of tobacco control program sustainability will be implemented 3) By December 31, 2010, four strategies to support coalition building will be implemented. 4) By December 31, 2010, three strategies to actively engage a FACT youth group in support of tobacco control policy and sustainability activities will be implemented 5) By December 31, 2010, 284 compliance investigations at licensed tobacco retail vendors, 7 related public outreach activities and 7 related media outreach activities will be implemented 6) By December 31, 2010, three strategies in support of other tobacco products (OTP) local policy will be implemented 7) Youth advocates will be recruited and educated throughout Rock County to advocate for enviornmental changes specifically towards underage drinking issues.Regular Meetings
Yes, we meet weekly in 12 different middle and high schools throughout Rock County. These meetings are held during the school year. We have monthly board meetings throughout the year for youth and adults throughout Rock County. We also have a monthly Youth Advisory Board that plans our fund raising and other events. We are part of a five county Multi-Jurisdictional Tobacco prevention group with our main emphasis for 2010 being smoke-free air policy implementation, program sustainability and Other Tobacco Product awareness.Funding Sources
